Hey there our valued users and fellow developers!

We are thrilled to share some exciting news about the Guru Maps app. The latest version 5.3.5 for iOS and 5.3.2 for Android brings a host of significant enhancements, specifically designed to streamline the integration process with our application.

Cyclists in the mountains and API integration behind the scenes

One of the standout features in these updates is the introduction of a URL scheme, enabling the initiation of Guru Maps functions directly from other apps. By simply following the appropriate URL, developers can now seamlessly trigger functions like search, navigation, GPS track recording, and marker creation within Guru Maps.

This provides a significant advantage for developers, as there's no longer a need to implement complex routing logic or offline capabilities. Instead, they can effortlessly redirect users to Guru Maps for navigation purposes or to save location-related information.

The integration process has been simplified, opening up new possibilities for sharing functionality across different applications. We believe that this enhancement will greatly benefit the entire developer community.

For more information on how to use the new API integration capabilities, please refer to our documentation.

We thank you for your ongoing support and hope that you will find these improvements helpful in your work.
